I paint with a combination of oils, oil sticks, paper, fabric, and found objects to enhance my images. I often etch words and sentences into the paint, leaving faint suggestions of the thoughts I had while painting. In years past, I tended to paint over the words to hide my thoughts from the viewer. However, in my most recent projects, the texts are legible, effectively adding context to the painting.
